After 25 years in the field of quality and regulatory for the Biotechnology Industry (Jim in Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs and Judy in Human Resources), Jim and Judy surrendered the remainder of their lives to the full-time service of Jesus Christ. Jim and Judy first came to NE India in the Fall of 2017. Upon seeing both the needs and the opportunity, God indelibly placed this mission field on their hearts. Burdened that the Thadou Kuki pastors have almost no resources in their language, and little opportunity for sound Biblical/theological education and practical training, Jim began working with Helun Chongloi and the pastors of the Independent Fundamental Baptist Churches Association of Manipur to establish the Independent Baptist Bible Institute (see the “Independent Baptist Bible Institute page), preach the Gospel in local churches, and to lead in the planting of new local churches and the building of new church buildings.

Following his graduation, Helun and Kimboi were missionaries in the state of Assam for 3 years. He was a teacher at Mt. Calvary English High school at ch. Ebenezer village 2010 -2011, where he and Kimboi were also house parents at the Stephanos Baptist Children’s Home (Orphanage).
Helun and Kimboi have been the “spark” for the founding of the Independent Baptist Bible Institute (now Grace Baptist Bible College), as well as NE India Baptist Missions. God has uniquely called Helun, placing in him a burden for the spreading of the Gospel of Christ in NE India, the starting of new churches, and the education of pastors. He was our initial contact into NE India, serves as one of our translators, and coordinates all of our events.
